The project consists in the reconstruction of a secondary house. The ambition of the project is to realize a building which integrates as well as possible in the wooded context in which it is inscribed.
The single-storey construction was made entirely of wood, from its exposed fir structure to its cedar roof.
The focus was on the common spaces, both interior and exterior, in order to make the most of the environment.
The challenge was to make the building totally autonomous in energy and water. All the needs and consumptions were thought in low-tech, in particular with the heating and the stove with wood fire, the natural ventilation and the recovery of rainwater by a gravitational system. The project's wastewater is treated by an on-site lagooning system.
