The castle is classified as an exceptional heritage of Wallonia.
It dates from the 13th century and has undergone many modifications, partial reconstructions and additions over the centuries. This classified heritage has the particularity to be partly habited and partly accessible to the public with its museum and its availability for private events or as a film set.
Our mission here consists in the preservation of a heritage, whose periods are multiple.
The question of the restoration of the frames, their restitution or their replacement by more modern frames is the subject of a long term work in close collaboration with the services of the AWAP.
