This project expresses a desire for urban diversity and aims to requalify the ring boulevard around Brussels. The two corner buildings - one on the Place Louise, the other on the Place Jean-Jacobs - frame an existing office building, giving the whole a new urban coherence that makes the island in question stand out. An apartment building with large terraces on the square forms the link with the neighbouring building. Architecturally, it uses a mesh structural language for the offices and a more domestic and free expression for the apartments. The interior design is governed by the surrounding environment: the flats face the park and the offices face the corners of the "inner ring". The structure and the shell have been completely prefabricated, allowing the assembly of one floor per week. The project was built in 12 months. Very well insulated and equipped with controlled ventilation, the homes reach a K35 - well above the performances then imposed.
Collaboration with Jaspers-Eyers.
