The house located in Uccle, was designed in 1956 by the architect Michel Boelens. The simplicity of the plan, the materials and the design of the facades, characteristic of the 1960s, will be preserved.
This house has not undergone any major transformations. This renovation project aims to enhance the characteristics of its architecture, by integrating new volumes in a sober and contemporary way. The street façade is preserved as it is, with its overhanging cornice. Only the white plastic windows will be modified and replaced by aluminium frames, in order to improve the energy performance. The extension is built back from the existing façade. The rhythm of the frames is designed in the continuity of the rhythm of the openings of the house.
