Design of the MIMA (Millenium Iconoclast of Art) reception, store and restaurant.
The MIMA is hosted in the remarkable building of the former Belle-Vue brewery, located on the canal in the center of Brussels.
The site offers the public temporary exhibitions, a permanent collection, meetings, screenings, concerts and performances, in a space of more than 1,200m² spread over four floors.
SI designed the large wall shelf and the tables, which were made by Recyclart, a company specialized in adapted work.
In order for the design to integrate perfectly with the existing structure of the building while being functional, we proposed a unique, spatially meaningful piece of furniture that could combine the desired store and restaurant functions.
