The form of the new awning is inspired by the existing porch that connects the two parts of the school.
It is a variation of continuous vaults. The structure is in steel and the vaults are transparent in order to give a light aspect and to bring more light to the facades.
The vaults are of different heights and staggered from each other in order to convey an idea of irregularity and not monotony. They are also aligned with the columns of the existing building. The entrance to the buildings is accentuated by a higher vault than the others.
Different shades of color are applied to the roof of the awning to make the atmosphere of the courtyard more cheerful. This colorful look is inspired by Daniel Buren's works.
